Online BlackJack Game Rules

Blackjack is a game where one to three players individually compete against the dealer, also known as the house. Each player is dealt from a shoe that contains four decks of playing cards. Before the deal, each player makes a bet by clicking on the $1 chip, $5 chip, $25 chip or the $100 chip, to show the desired bet. After the bet is placed, the player must click the "Deal" button to proceed with the hand. The hand starts after every player has bet and clicked the "Deal" button. With Public and Group Tables, the game will proceed once the 30 seconds default time limit has expired.

After the cards have been dealt the bets may not be changed. During the game, players can increase their bets with
Double Downs, Splits, and Insurance. After the initial deal, a player will be given a message to select one of these options. Buttons located on the lower center of the screen will appear in order to facilitate the player's desired action.

If it is possible to split two cards on a move, for example, a button will appear that allows the player to split the cards. The player must simply click on the "Split" button in order for the hand to be split.

At Casino-on-Net, the maximum bet is $500 and the minimum is $1. Each player will receive two cards face up. The dealer receives only one card face up. A player may then request any amount of cards until he/she chooses to "Stand" or busts. If a player is dealt Blackjack, a ten card or a face card, together with an Ace, he/she is immediately paid 1.5 times the placed bet, unless the dealer also has Blackjack. In this situation, called a "Push", the player's bet is returned.

After the bets are placed, the dealer completes his hand. With sixteen or less, the dealer must draw a card, called hitting, until his hand is valued at seventeen or more. If the dealer busts, the house must pay all players still in the game.

"Double Down": The "Double" option becomes available after players have been dealt two cards. This option doubles the original bet and the player is automatically dealt one card only, face up. The player can no longer draw any more cards beyond the required, automatically dealt one A player can only double down on the two first dealt cards or after splitting a pair.

"Split": Other than a pair of Aces, if a player is dealt any pair for his/her first two cards, those two cards can be "Split" into two separate hands if a player wishes to. By using the split option, an additional bet is automatically placed, equal to the original wager. Each of the hands is then played independently and the Player may hit on each hand exactly the same as in a regular game. In regard to a pair of Aces, a player can only receive one additional card for each of the ace hands.. Also with split Aces, a Player's Blackjack is not possible and will be considered as a regular 21. In this event, a dealer's Blackjack will win and a dealer's 21 will become a "Push".

"Insurance": If the dealer's visible card is an Ace, a player can choose to make an "Insurance Bet". An insurance bet is half of the original placed bet and guarantees that a player will not lose his/her wager if the dealer's hidden card is a 10 or face card, giving him Blackjack. If the dealer's hidden card is a 10 value, the player wins the Insurance Bet at 2-1 odds. If the dealer's hidden card has a value of less then 10, the player loses the Insurance Bet and the hand continues as normal.

"Push": A Push occurs when the dealer and a player have exactly numerical valued points in their hands. In the event of a Push, the play is considered a draw and the player's bet is returned.

Explanations about Online Blackjack:

If a player fails to place a bet within the set default time limit of one minute, the hand will continue on without his/her participation.

  • If a player places a bet, but fails to click the "Deal" button within the set default time limit, he/she will automatically be dealt two cards and the hand will continue.
  • If a player is unable to click the "Deal" button due to a disconnection, the disconnection rules will apply.
  • The cards are reshuffled after each hand on Casino-on-Net Online Blackjack tables.
